Hello all,

Here is a quick list of recent updates here at DVDCosmos.com:

New Features:

View Sources: You now see a link view sources on the video pages. What this will do is provide a list of all sources for the Video Episode in our Directory. Aka. if a particular source does not work for you, you can choose another one if it exists.

Addition Video Player: We have diversified our player and you can now use 2 different ones. The first one on the main Video Page, while a different (aka. old player) is used on the Full Screen Page. Some videos have been found to contain errors, and sometimes these errors are a problem for one player but not the second one. We added both to assist you in your viewing. Sometimes you have to reload the page to get it to work (a problem with The old Flash Player)
As always if a directory source is not to your liking, feel free to use the search engine and find another one.

Sources: Tudou.com and 56.com have been reported as slow sources. We agree, they are, but they will eventually work.
We have been working on adding a large number of additional sites, so expect more sources soon. We have also been working on user registration and content driven motivations. Aka. Video Uploading for yourselves, so expect that by February.

Well, we are sure every has noticed this error by now:

Well, here is the situation. We were doing future development, and we discovered a MySQL bug. Sweet. Good news it is easily fixed, bad news it can only be done by the hosting provider. Worse news, their turn around time for solving this issue is approx 24 hours. Well, that is not that bad, Well… 24 hours for a response, and unfortunately we have discovered they are really good a giving responses, they are really bad at actually fixing the issue. We keep contacting them, and asking for a mysql reset, and they keep failing to do it. They are very consistent at letting us know, this is bad and needs to be fixed.

So well, we know about the issue, we are working on fixing it, and well… We live in the world like many others, we depend on our partners to just do it, and we all end up disappointed.

C’est la vie….

Everyone wants an ETA: The ETA is when the host does it. They has said it was fixed 2 times now, and it continues to not be fixed. It is indeed impressive.

Well, someone was bound to do it… we all knew sites like gootube are making a bundle from copyright infringement. Someone went and indexed and catalogued a tonne of the videos, thus 1 site fits all now..

I wanted to let you all know, downloading of files has been enabled. You will see Download as an option on the left hand side, below Full Screen. It will appear for all enabled video sites. Current enabled video sites include Dailymotion, but others will be added soon.
